New Videos

Well, it has been a long time since I have posted to this blog, so there are hundreds of new videos. We have added about 200GB of movies in the last year, and now have way over 300 hours of movies online, and they are all still downloadable, and still with no DRM. DRM stands for digital rights management, and it is that little piece of code inserted into the movie that makes your computer check your username and password at the site to make sure it is active before you can watch the movie. Lots of sites are using this now, so even though they say you can download their videos, you have to stay and active member to watch the movies you have downloaded. So you can't burn those movies to DVD, and you have to have a current membership to watch them. This seems to be the way the industry is going, as it greatly increases rebills, but we still have not adapted this new technology, and don't plan to any time soon.
So, things are still the way they were - just more movies, I even upped the resolution a bit on the movies now, so they are even more clear - now that people have 17 inch monitors, I had to up it a little to make it nice and clear on the larger screens.
